Musical theatre legend Elaine Paige has been announced as an ambassador for the Royal Voluntary Service, an organisation which aims to help older people stay active, independent, and able to continue to contribute to society.
Paige joins the charity in its 80th year, following in the footsteps of fellow ambassadors Wayne Sleep OBE, Dame Patricia Routledge DBE and Phillip Schofield, and commented 'I’m so pleased to be joining Royal Voluntary Service as an ambassador, particularly in its anniversary year. I think the charity’s volunteers do a remarkable job keeping older people happy and engaged in their local communities and helping out in hospitals'.
